History of The Old Company Warehouse
The warehouse is of no longer of use because of the factories that used to produce wool and cotton was shutdown. The warehouse has been in an empty state for the last 30 years. Over the years plants, birds and other nature have moved in the building. The Old Warehouse was built in 1928 by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and extended in 1932. This building was built with red bricks which is unusual because the whole area of Saltaire and Shipley was made out of stone. The building is constructed like a basin and built on the banks of the canal.
